Delete Your CheckChess Account

Option 1 — Delete it yourself, in the app

If CheckChess is installed on your device:

Open the app and sign in
Go to Settings → Delete account
Confirm the deletion

This is instant and permanently removes your account.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, or can't sign in, send an email to contact@chessnewlife.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject "Delete my CheckChess account". We verify the request and delete your account within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your email and authentication credentials
Your account scans and OTB analysis history
Your AI chat history
Your usage counters and subscription linkage
Your watchlist — every account you asked us to monitor, and the monitoring stops immediately
The push notification tokens registered for your devices

If you use the app as a guest

A guest session is an anonymous account with no email address, so neither option above applies to it: there is nothing to sign in to, and no address we could verify a request from. Deleting the app removes your access to that session and its history permanently.

If you want a guest session deleted from our servers rather than just abandoned, convert it into a full account in the app first — your history is preserved — and then use Option 1.

What is retained, and for how long

Accounting and fiscal records (if any purchase was made): retained for 10 years, as required by Romanian fiscal law. These records do not include your analysis content or chat history.
Technical logs and IP addresses: deleted automatically within 90 days regardless of account status.

Anonymised, aggregated statistics derived from your activity may be retained after deletion; they cannot be linked back to you. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
